Hi! can anybody me with these problems? i have to do 2 step equations. 1. 3.8x + 5.2x - 6.7 = 11.3 2. 7.8y - 4.9 - 5.4y = 2.3 3. 2/3x - 5 = 1 4. 7/5y = 3 - 1/5 there are pictures below for the ones that have fractions ( 3 and 4)

1) 3.8x + 5.2x - 6.7 = 11.3
9x = 11.3 + 6.7
9x = 18
x = 18/9
x = 2

2) 7.8y - 4.9 - 5.4y = 2.3
2.4y = 7.2
y = 7.2/2.4
y = 3

Multiply by 3 by both sides:



Simplify:

2x = 18
x = 18/2
x = 9

Do lowest common denominator:





Simplify by 5 by both sides:

If you need an equation, it would be y=2x+8, y would be how long it grew, x being weeks.if you need how long he was asleep, it would be 4 weeks if he started with no beard, the equation would be x=8÷2if he did have a beard before hand, the equation would be 2w+x=8
