What is the domain of the function y = √x + 4 ? also: what is the domain of the function y= √x + 6 - 7 two separate equations

Domain:  x >=0 for both cases

Discussion:

Assuming we are dealing with real valued functions, the domain of

y = x^(1/2) +4

is the set of all "x" such that x>= 0  (so we are taking the square root of a positive, or zero, real number)

The domain of  x^(1/2) +6 -7 is the same as for the last function  and for the same reason.

given that triangle abc is transformed two times to get triangle

a"b"c"

first abc is transformed in to a'b'c' as follows:

the coordinates of a are (1,-1) and transformed into a'(-1,1)

similarly b (4,-2) became b'(-4,2) and

c(7,-2) became c'(-7,2)

i.e. (x,y) becomes (-x,-y)

this is nothing but reflection about a point here origin.

thus first transformation is reflection on the origin.

next is exactly shifting 3 units down
