Sam is a professional cyclist and discovered that his racing bike was stolen overnight from his covered shed at home in Meadowsville. He puts an

advertisement in the Daily Sun advertising a reward of $1,500.00 for anyone

who finds the racing bike.

Paul goes walking in the park 7 am next morning and sees the abandoned bike.

He leaves a message on Sam’s phone telling him he thinks he saw something

looking like the bike and he should come and check to make sure it is his own. Sean who has not seen the advertisement, but goes about his evening stroll,

discovers the bike abandoned in the park and takes it home to fix it and use it.

Sean’s wife, on seeing the bike, recognizes it as the one for which the reward

has been offered and shows Sean the advertisement in the newspaper. Sean

returns the bike to Sam but he refuses to pay the $1,500.00, saying the offer has
