Beavis, while walking down the street, notices a house with no lights on. Having a fascination with fire, Beavis takes a lighter from his pocket and takes a piece of cloth he finds laying on the ground and sets it on fire. He then throws the burning cloth through the window of the house and waits for the big fire. Much to his disappointment, there was none. He climbs up to a window and looks inside only to see that the fire had started, slightly burning the floor but had extinguished immediately. What common law crime, if any, did Beavis most likely commit?
