Project: You be the Author: Write Your Own Newspaper Articles At this point, you have reviewed numerous examples of torts and are familiar with various scenarios created by the lesson's author. For this project, you have the opportunity to be the author and write brief newspaper articles based on the torts discussed in this lesson: strict liability, products liability, misrepresentation of a product, and public and private nuisance. In the article you write, include some points about the defenses and remedies available for each tort. This exercise should be at least two to three paragraphs per tort (about 800 words in length total).

Use your creativity. Make up interesting names for your town or city, product or products, plaintiffs and defendants, and so on. Remember, you are reporting fictitious incidents that occurred, not a romance or detective novel.
