First thing to do is get any prints or dna to get to the lab and br tested. if any dna is found and tested you must look up file in the police departments database. if the person isnt found on the database with any criminal records they still have a birth certificate or any sort of documents to be found. once you’ve found the person, take them in for questioning or arrest them. next make a police report and put them in file. the police, jury and lawyers should deal with the rest.
