Larry and Fred had been negotiating for a landscaping contract for Fred's business. Larry began by offering to do the work for $6,000. They had been talking about doing a little less work for around $5,000 in their most recent discussions. Finally, Fred called Larry and said that he was going to be off in the foreign office for the next month and that he wanted the work to be done while he was gone; he'd send over a contract the next day on his way to the airport.
