Forensic Science requires the use of science and technology in law to examine evidence and solve cases. Three of the most challenging tasks of forensic scientists are:

Collecting information at a scene - I think it is challenging because there is a high chance of contamination of crime scene leading to collecting wrong information. Recovering information from electronics is another challenging task because the device may be damaged or burned and putting the pieces together pose a challenge. Sometimes recovering data even requires the assistance of the product manufacturer who may be in a foreign country. Crisscrossing the evidence which means confusing certain aspects evidence which may lead to wrong interpretation of the incident.
