Will china ever surpass the u. s. in terms of power?

Explanation:

The USA is the sole superpower in the world. the criteria for being a superpower is being able to exert economic, military, and cultural influence on a global scale. China's economy has been vastly growing for a few decades now causing it to have already met one of the criteria for superpower. Chinas military is strong but it is unable to effectively fight a war outside of its own borders. (ex. chinas inability to reclaim tawain which is just a few nautical miles away from it) It is however making strides to make its military more advanced and I believe it's the only military in the world to have a branch just for missiles. China is nothing special when it comes to its cultural influence. The United States has been the sole superpower since the early 90s and it doesn't seem to be stopping soon. If china keeps up what its doing then it will become a superpower.
