This quote was written by a Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu who was a guiding figure in Taoism. His work gives instructions on how to live a good life. It discusses the the “way” of the world, which is  the path to virtue, happiness, and harmony. He said that the right way is very simple, but the nature of the humans is to go by-ways. Virtue isn’t that it is difficult or unnatural, but  we resist the simple path that might make us most content. The truth is in simple things and learning to follow them.
