Why was the american military effort generally unsuccessful, especially the numerous attempts to invade canada?

The reason that the American military are unsuccessful in effort of attempting to invade Canada because of the following;

-          Americans attacked in a poorly manner and that they are executed poorly by the generals making them lose.

-          There is a lack of military preparation and the strategy produced were poor.

-          The army was ill-trained, ill-disciplined, and as well as widely scattered.
