People expected the war to be controlled fights between armies. but in this war all the rules changed. cities and farms were burned and civilian populations terrorized. it was a called what 1-anaconda 2-total war 3-fight to death 4-all is fair in love and war

It would be called total war where everything and everyone were included in war no one was spared and all kind of atrocities and war crimes are committed. One example is world war 2 where bombing of cities and civilian areas are included in operational and strategic initiative of each sides demoralizing the morale of the opposite side.
