Many efficient policies were formed by Republicans to promote westward expansion. The most promising of it was the subsidization of businesses that would be starting in the west.

The government's intention behind introducing this policy was to make the living of the settlers of the west convenient. The government sought the businesses to dispense more ease of living to the settlers.
