One American ideal that is represented by celebrating the dream of Martin Luther King jr. is freedom. He always dreamt that a day will come when people of all walks of life, races, classes, religions will put their differences aside and join in one spirit. Another American ideal is justice. Martin Luther King day is a day where all races come together and have justice and freedom to all citizens in America and seize all violent actions.

This holiday reminds us about how each and every one of us all is supposed to show equalness to others. D.r King taught us to look at each other equally and not to judge anyone by the color of the skin. Martin Luther King dedicated his life to inspire others by helping move Civil Rights Movement move in a more positive direction and affect real change.

Martin Luther King was a Black American who campaigned for freedom and equality. America is a nation known to be peace-loving and supportive of the equal rights of people. So, when American citizens celebrate the life and dream of Martin Luther King, they demonstrate support for his ideals which are reflective of those of America.

Martin Luther King Jr. was an activist who was very vocal in his campaign for an end to racial discrimination. He was even assassinated on the 4th of April 1968 because of his visibiilty and support of the issue. When Americans celebrate his life, it means that they buy into his campaign for a nation that is free from racial discrimination and injustice. These are the ideals that America is known for.
