The Indians’ firm instruct of what is now the United States was not to end. And by 1820 they had lost authority of land east of the Mississippi River, and a simple sixty years after the posterities of those new arrival balanced so insecurely on the Atlantic in 1620 conquered the continent straight to the Pacific.
