Early civilizations didn't have the writing system that we have nowadays, in fact, they had different ways to represent and keep their ideas and memories and this varies according, principally, to the place of the world where these civilizations were born and developed; thus, in Mesopotamia, for example, they were used to cuneiform writing, while in China they used ideograms to express themselves. Egyptians had their system: the hieroglyphics system. This means that, like culture, the writing styles and ways to express things changes with the groups that use them.
We also have to remind that writing structures were not as popular as now because they hadn’t appropriate materials to plasm their ideas with the facilities that we have now. These inconveniences have been changed little by little and we have gone from hard to soft writing material, making the work of writing much more easy than in the past.
Now, they were 2 principal kinds of writing learned by early civilizations:
Cuneiform writing: It was invented by Sumerian culture and it is accepted as one of the most ancient writing systems of history. Its name means wedge-shaped, who comes from the Latin term “cuña” which means wedge. This system was used to represent ideas and specific meaningsHieroglyphic writing: It was first used by Egyptian culture. It combines logographic, syllabic and alphabetic elements and was related principally with god stuff; they called “god words” because it was applied to sacral rituals.
