Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong are good examples of possibilism because both countries, have improved their territories in terms of socio-economic and infrastructural development that cut across agricultural advancement, the industrial revolution, and technological development.

Even though their natural environment is not favorable to wide-scale development. For example, Saudi Arabia is a desert region with few natural resources, while Hong Kong also has few natural resources to depend on.

The concept of possibilism is based on the theory while the environment may limit available choices of humans, cities, or a nation, humans, however, have the commanding power over their environment, although with some form of limitations.
