20 POINTS FOR THE CORRECT ANSWER
Picture this: You are sitting down to write an essay or to complete an assignment for one of your courses. What do you do first? If you are like a lot of students, you probably pop in your earbuds and turn on your favorite music! You are not alone. Many artists also use music to help them create their masterpieces.
Vasily Kandinksy, an artist you will learn about in this unit, did not just use music to help him paint. He painted music! The titles of many of his works are, in fact, musical terms.
For this Art Talk, do the following:
Study this abstract painting by Kandinsky.
Decide which of your favorite songs it expresses. That will be the painting’s new title!
List the title, and explain in detail why you chose this title. In your explanation, be sure to use details from Kandinsky’s painting and from the song. Use four to five thoughtful, well-written sentences.
