Some states enforce strict voter ID laws or are in the process of enacting them. The stated goal is to decrease voter fraud; however, some have argued that stricter laws will make it much harder for certain groups, like minorities and the poor, to vote. Do you think stricter voter ID laws are necessary? If so, why? If not, why not? Do you think such laws do, in fact, have an adverse effect on certain groups?
