Women during the Industrial Revolution enjoyed more freedom than even women today do. The large numbers of new factories ensured that women would be a necessary part of the new workforce. And though women often worked long hours with less pay than their male counterparts, life in the city granted them many more opportunities than they'd had before. According to Sarah Brightener, author of The Women's Revolution: How Industrialization Brought Freedom, women living in cities could earn their own money, and to some extent make their own decisions. And although a woman living in the city would never have had the same freedom as a man, the difference between city life and rural life for women was like the difference between night and day. Which sentence best evaluates the credibility of this historical argument? O A. The historical argument is credible because it claims that women had the most freedom during the Industrial Revolution. B. The historical argument is not credible because it makes a claim that is not believable. O C. The historical argument is not credible because it does not make a claim about women during the Industrial Revolution. D. The historical argument is credible because it includes a strong claim and evidence from a credible source.
