Piedmont is an excellent place to visit for historic sightseeing, hiking, and having fun. The Piedmont region is named after the city of Piedmont, South Carolina. There, we had lots of fun going to the Madworld Escape in Piedmont, a very elaborate escape room, as well as the 7th Inning Splash waterpark. We also went outside of city limits and biked in the Birkhead Mountains Wilderness which has a whopping 15 miles of trails to explore! We also got to go to many museums that tell the history of the Piedmont region. These museums give light to the many agricultural and industrial development of the region, such as tobacco and cotton farms and textile factories. I had a lot of fun in Piedmont.
