Community service will not only look good on applications, but it will also help you to be more involved in the community. It will also give you a feeling like no other when you help out those in need. Think about it this way, if the roles were reversed, would you appreciate the teens who are helping out?

It shows that you are caring and like to help out whenever you can, not just because there is a reward, but because you like to help out. You can also gain leadership skills, organization skills, and time management skills.

Further down the like, this can effect you getting a job. Many places want people good at costumer service, which customers make the community.
