Another name for Juneteenth is Emancipation Day, and it is commemorated as the official end to slavery. On Juneteenth people parades with feasting as well as dancing and singing. The majority of the people who celebrate Juneteenth are in the Black community, and they often get together to have prayers for their ancestors who went through slavery. On the 4th of July people celebrate loudly and patriotically. They usually deck out in red, white, and, blue.
