This semester we have studied Industrialization, Immigration, Women's Suffrage, Constitutional Amendments 13-20, WWI, The Roaring 20s, The Harlem Renaissance, The Great Depression, The New Deal, WWII, The Atomic Bomb and the Civil Rights movement. We have talked about U. S. Presidents from Woodrow Wilson, Herbert Hoover and FDR to JFK, LBJ and Richard Nixon. Additionally, we have heavily considered the impact of the Supreme Court on American's daily live. We have covered 100 years of history in just six months. All of this while also experiencing and dealing with a pandemic, social and political strife in our nation, and new realities in our daily lives. Thinking back through this semester, which person, court case or event was most memorable for you? How did that person or event influence your perception of history? As you move forward into senior year, how will this person or event be relevant in your life?

How about Brown v Board

Explanation: Brown struck down legal segregation in public schools and energized the civil rights movement in areas like housing, public accommodations and jobs.  It still affect us today.  Despite this many of our schools are still segregated.

after a more than a decade and a half of combating al qaeda (aq) in afghanistan and pakistan,

the united states faces a diverse array of threats from al qaeda affiliates in the middle east and

africa. while senior al qaeda figures reportedly remain based in pakistan, the network includes

a number of affiliates across the middle east and africa including al qaeda in the arabian

peninsula (aqap), al qaeda in the islamic maghreb (aqim), and al shabaab. al qaeda also

retains a small but possibly growing presence in afghanistan. u.s. officials have stated that al

qaeda still maintains a foothold in syria through its ties to hay’at tahrir al sham (formerly

known as the nusra front), though the exact nature of that relationship may be evolving. this

report examines the threat posed by al qaeda affiliates in the middle east and africa as described

by u.s. officials and outside observers, as well as the u.s. approach to date in responding to these
