How did Americans respond to the
problems of the 1980s?

Some of the main health problems in the 1980s were AIDS and drug abuse. Reagan and Bush addressed the drug problem, establishing drug treatment facilities throughout the United States.
President Bush responded to the terrorist attacks on the United States with: campaign bomb, with new security programs, admitted terrorists should pay the price and do justice. Women claimed equal rights and for this they were created: The Equal Employment Opportunity Law, the Pregnancy Discrimination Law, Laws to End Domestic Violence, the Equal Opportunity in Credit Act and the Nasa and the Military Academies They started admitting women.
With the victory of Ronald Reagan began the Reagan Era who made great changes in the direction of the country.
