A natural disaster is a naturally occurring event caused by Earth’s processes. They generally cause great damage and/or loss of life. For this performance task you will write a one-page research paper about a past natural disaster and explain Earth’s processes that caused it. The natural disaster you decide to report on must be based on plate movements (i. e. earthquake, volcanic eruption, tsunami from earthquake, volcanic mudflows).
