the transatlantic slave trade radically impaired africa's potential to develop economically and maintain its social and political stability. the arrival of europeans on the west african coast and their establishment of slave ports in various parts of the continent triggered a continuous process of exploitation of africa's human resources, labor, and commodities. this exploitative commerce influenced the african political and religious aristocracies, the warrior classes and the biracial elite, who made small gains from the slave trade, to participate in the oppression of their own people. the europeans, on the other hand, greatly benefited from the atlantic trade, since it allowed them to amass the raw materials that fed the industrial revolution to the detriment of african societies whose capacity to transform their modes of production into a viable entrepreneurial economy was severely halted.

in 476 c.e. romulus, the last of the roman emperors in the west, was overthrown by the germanic leader odoacer, who became the first barbarian to rule in rome. the order that the roman empire had brought to western europe for 1000 years was no more.

the topic i chose to write about was " why scuba diving is so popular". the topic is suitable for the audience because it is the easiest to develop and explain, it can be explained in a simpler more conversational manner, it does not require the use of too many technical words, and the final reason for selecting this topic is that it is the one most people can relate to, you might not know too much about scuba diving, but you could probably agree that it is very popular. the purpose of the writing about this topic is to convince more people about the benefits both for the body and the mind that   scuba diving can have on a person. it can you keep fit since it requires a lot of energy when swimming underwater; it also you relax because you forget about the world when you are underwater being mesmerized by the underwater world. i would write this paper in the summer, a perfect time to give scuba diving a try if a person has not done it yet.
