Wilhelm and his little brother are extremely excited to see their new home. The German official who sent for them on behalf of their father, a German businessman, points to a two-story farmhouse in the distance. Wilhelm wonders if he will have his own room and if it will have furniture already. As the car comes to a stop, the two boys race up to the door. They ignore the family photos on the wall as they rush up the stairway, eager to claim their bedrooms.
