Why did the framers create the Electoral College?

One reason for the Electoral College was that the founding fathers believed that a tyrant could manipulate public opinion.

Another reason is that what smaller states would have a stronger representation and the framers believed that smaller states should be supported.

a. because the u.s. was the leading with the most technology, economy, etc. also was teamed with other allies witch boosted the economy and materials to improve technology and use it.

because its important to learn about other countries and how high tech they are compared to us. also its good to learn about other cultures and how ours differs and in common also we need to learn about companies that we still buy since they ship it here.
