so, based on the research i've done. the u.s. government were always on a wild goose chase just to take down castro. he then retired his trone to his brother raul in 2008 due to some health issues. so it's obvious your answer would be:

castro had no allies from which he could receive aid.

this is my opinon on puritians

puritans we all know as were a relgion to purify the cahtlic church some of there practices were good and they did ways some relgions couldnbt but some ways wern't that good like trying to turn people into their relgion which did spark alot of mass hate to them overall there netrual and did have a semi good cause.
