It is March of 1933. Franklin Delano Roosevelt has just been sworn in as President of the United States. Responding to the Great Depression is his first priority. You have just been brought back to this time period in a time machine. You cannot get access to President Roosevelt, but you can write him a letter. You need to write President Roosevelt a letter to warn him about the dictators who are about to rise to power ( or have already started ) in the coming years. Your letter must include: 1. Each of the four dictators we talked about. Josep Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, and Hideki Tojo. 2. There background - where did they come from? 3. What FDR should look out for - how are they about to come to power? How do you think he should counter that? 4. Potential consequences - What will happen if he does nothing.
