How did the philosophies of robert owen and karl marx differ

Scientific socialism is a term coined by Friedrich Engels to distinguish Marxist socialism from other socialisms that were not based on historical materialism, the same one that would be identified as a scientific method according to its supporters. This socialism founded by Friedrich Engels and Karl Marx raised an approach based on historical materialism where reality is a constant struggle between social classes and this generated changes in society, similarly identified the collective subject of socialist revolution with the proletariat industrial.

The social theories of Robert Owen, Henri de Saint-Simon, Charles Fourier, Louis Blanc and Pierre-Joseph Proudhon are considered within utopian socialism, since they, although they did not share the same ideologies, had arisen as an answer to the same context socioeconomic: The Industrial Revolution, the rule of the bourgeoisie and the rise of the labor movement, events that were initially manifested in England at the end of the eighteenth century and that spread across the European continent during the nineteenth century.
