The British had many advantages and disadvantages during the Revolutionary War. The biggest disadvantage being that they were not familiar with the territory, due to the distance they lacked efficient communication. Additionally, they had been at war for a really long time previously so many citizens were unhappy with having to continue to pay war taxes.
