What argument did the united states make for invading iraq in 2003?

The argument was that Iraq was hiding weapons of mass destruction that they hid from the United Nations and since they waged war against Kuwait who was allied with the US then it was as if they had attacked the US, so the US used this to attack them with the United Nations.
