Ok a thing that can influence something is perspective like you can see it happen and you think thats what happened bu in reality its not take 9/11 for example people thought a missile struck the pentagon and people and news reporters both influenced the public to think it was a missile until the news came out and said it was a plane hope this helps tell me if its confusing ill try and think of another way to explain it
