The Nordic country of Norway is one of the modern societies that can be considered as a Golden Age Society because it has not only accomplished and overcome several modern complex issues in most aspects related to economic, social, political, cultural, scientific and humanitarian, but also because Norway is leading and sharing its success worldwide. Despite of being a small country, and not so populated, just over five million inhabitants; Norway counts on a great educational system, its society is highly educated and aware of the current situations and issues worldwide.  

For instance, regarding artistic achievements, Edvard Munch, (1863-1893) was an important influencer of the Symbolism and Expressionism Movements. One his most famous paintings is “The Scream” a well-known worldwide piece of art.

With regard to medical achievements it is important to highlight that Norway spends more than 10.5% of its internal GDP on healthcare and this figure is the highest worldwide.  

Norway spends over USD 7 billion annually on its hospitals and innovation. About scientific accomplishments Norway is leader in Advances in Clinical Neuroscience and Rehabilitation through its research in neuropsychiatry, genetics and Parkinson just to mention a few.

Concerning economic, politic and social developments Norway is leader in renewing its energy sources as a country by transitioning from oil, and non-renewable energies to renewable and ecologically friendly energy sources such as solar, electric, offshore wind energy among other. Finally, Norway´s political and social policies are strongly oriented to help other countries, both first-world nations and third-world nations by sharing with them their experiences as a successful country; Norwegian people even sponsor and fund worldwide NGOs and governments with the sole purpose of improving those countries living standards. For instance, Norway funds several organizations in South America in aspects related to the protection of the forests and its inhabitants.

Norway can be considered as a Golden Age Society because it was able to fix and overcome most of the issues that currently most countries of “all walks of life” are struggling with.

However, Norway is not well known and popular as most of the world players, it is indeed a successful country, willing to sustain itself in every aspect as a viable and environmentally friendly country, it is also willing to share not only its success, but also its gained resources with the rest of the world.
