Why would a fountain pen be a special friend to someone like anne frank?

Because at the time she probably wanted a fountain pen really bad and also to make a new friend quote from the book "I, Anne Frank, the proud owner of a fountain pen! ... And now - Does anybody know what fountain penAnne might possibly ... Just too many choices, unless someone has a particular insight. ...
