Why were new mexicans affected by the bataan death march

The survivor of the Bataan March are also part of the new Mexican population, therefore they worry about forgetting the death march.

The new Mexican descendants do not have very appreciating vision regarding the Bataan march during the word war II. But the survivors of the march are concerned about inclusion of this event in the history books of schools so that the sacrifices of the fore fathers, relatives and neighbors made on Bataan should not be  forgotten.
