Hamilton was part of the federalist era, and believed in using force against rebellion. Under Hamilton, the U.S. economy developed well as he helped America grow into an industrial power. Hope this is useful

George Washington became President of the U.S. in 1789 and made Alexander Hamilton the first Secretary of the Treasury. At this point in time, the United States was under a lot of debt because of the American Revolution, and Hamilton helped with that.
