1. It was wise to seek a return to normalcy after World War I. A return to normalcy was United States presidential candidate Warren G. Harding’s campaign promise during the elections of 1920. He wanted to return to Republican domination of the Oval Office and avoiding foreign problems. I believe that it was a wise decision and it also allowed for Harding to win the election because people liked his plan. Harding and Coolidge's policies had mostly a positive impact on American society during the 1920s because American business was booming. The higher tariffs on imports encouraged Americans to get American goods. The middle class rose allowing them to be able to purchase more goods.
