What did lincoln's emancipation proclamation state?

Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation stated that slavery would officially end. It also brought the Thirteenth Amendment which brought significance to the war, for now people were fighting to free slaves. Non-slave countries also received this amendment, especially England, which ended the threat of English support for the Confederacy. All in all, the Emancipation Proclamation was one of the most important statements ever issued in the United States.
