A. Canaan was an ancient country in the near east which is located at territories of now, Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria.
b. The country was sometimes a tributary to ancient Egypt and the king of Jerusalem was subject to the Pharaoh which made the city the country's capital.
c. Solomon's temple was ordered by God to be built which symbolized the country's desire to turn away from worshiping false gods. The Hebrew regarded the temple well because it was the symbol of their religion and beliefs.
d. The Hebrews were in conflict with the nearby groups mainly due to religious differences. The other groups pagans and polytheistic.
