The Jews of Alexandria in the Diaspora who, legend tells us, translated the Torah alone during the reign of Ptolemy II in Egypt. The rest of the Tanakh was translated over the course of 300 more years and those texts were largely translated by Hellenized Jews (Hellenism is a religion created by Alexander the Great) and Romanized Jews who wanted to impose Greek philosophy and assimilation of ideas through language and culture.
