How did the black death affect farming and crops

It decimated the population, mainly in metropolitan areas, but also in the country. Death was relatively quick. dead people can't plow, harvest, or sell crops, so I would think that fields lay fallow, crops rotten in some fields, and farms in many instances just fell into ruins.
