African Americans

They faced segregation that the government for a long time allowed/ did nothing about

Racial tension continued after the war.
German Americans

The US government sometimes ignored constitutional principles which occasionally lead to German citizens not getting justice for others committing crimes against them.
German Americans faced discrimination an example o this is people making anti german signs

Jewish Americans

Jewish Americans faced discrimination at this time.
Dispite the prejudice against them they supported the war effort by creating organizations to raise money for troops and help war victims.
Even after their support discrimination continued.
Asian Americans

During this time Japanese immigration was limited. All other asian immigration was banned except for immigration from japan and the Phillipines.
Asian Americans were discriminated against during this time.
They enlisted in the war despite the descrimination they faced.
After Asian Americans enlisted in the war they were allowed to become naturalized citizens as a reward for their service.
Hispanic Americans

Women

During world war one women were encouraged to help in place of their husbands.
Their help was welcomed by the government but some dissagreed with women helping while others did not mind the help.
Women helped support the war by serving overseas but also helping to take some of the millions of jobs left from the draft.
After their help in the war women wanted to earn the right to vote and although at first this request was denied the fight for womens suffrage continued.
