By definition, interest groups are those groups or organizations consisting of people who share common interests and they work together in order to promote that interests by influencing the government. These groups try to influence the government using lobbying and this serves as their tactic in order to push that interest and influence the decision makers. They often present an argument in favor of them and sometimes, they file lawsuits against the government. This is the reason why they are still regulated by the government.
