In Part One of this assignment, you will create a line graph to show your state’s unemployment rate over a period of 10 years. In Part Two, you will create a bar graph to show employment by industry for a given year. Assignment Instructions
Step 1: Gather materials and necessary information.
a) Keep your lesson open in case you need to review what you have learned.
b) Save the data tables and assignment questions (attached to this document) to a new location so you can add the required information. Alternatively, you may be able to print the document and complete the assignment by hand before submitting it. Ask your teacher for guidance.
c) Review all of the assignment questions before you begin the assignment.
Step 2: Complete the performance task by fulfilling each requirement and answering each question.
a) Read and follow each set of instructions carefully. Ensure that your answers provide the details requested in each question.
b) Use presentation or word-processing software to complete the graphs needed for the assignment. Alternatively, you may create your graphs by hand using graph paper, a straight edge, and pens or markers. Ask your teacher if this is acceptable.
c) Keep each graph that you construct. You may find it easier to adapt an existing graph rather than to create one from scratch.
d) Answer every part of the question. Be sure to read the question carefully. If you have any trouble understanding the requirements, ask your teacher for assistance.
Step 3: Evaluate your assignment using this checklist. When you can answer “yes” to all of the questions, you are ready to submit your assignment.
