How did FDR differ from Progressive Era foreign policy?

In the 1920s and 30s there were no programs in place to protect poor Americans. The Great Depression was a disgrace. Wealthy corporate pigs and their banks waited until thousands of Americans were in desperate straits and then pounced on them, heartlessly foreclosing on them and forcing them into homelessness. Sounding familiar?

Hoover was a pig. Like Trump, he cared nothing for and did nothing for the average person. It took a great man like FDR to initiate new programs to help people and heal the nation. His New Deal programs brought unemployment down from 25% under Hoover to 16% in only 4 years. By 1941 it was down to 4% due to FDR’s programs and war manufacturing.

The biggest differences between Hoover and Trump are that Hoover did have a brain, and he didn’t have a pandemic to help him kill the poor and elderly. He did it a slower way, through poverty and privation.
