Why were Free African Inventors important ? Who were three African Inventors and what were their inventions. ?

Not sure if this is supposed to be opiniated or right or wrong, but free african inventors were important because they invented a lot of things that were modified and are still in use today such as Garret Morgan inventing the 3 light traffic light, Marie Van Brittan Brown inventing home security, and George Washington Carver inventing many uses for the peanut.
