Imagine that you are the defendant in a trial where you are being charged with burglary. You are innocent and yet there is a great deal of evidence that make you look like you are guilty of the crime. You are being held in jail for the duration
of the trial. Write a letter to your parents during the first day of deliberation.
Think about the kind of things that you might be feeling while the jurors are
deciding your fate. Look back through the lesson on the Constitution and
refer to parts of it that you think may help or hurt your case.
Your letter must be 350 words and have at least two references to the
Constitution. Make sure that your letter sounds real and captures the emotion
that someone who is in your shoes may really be feeling.
